Throughout his illustrious career, he has graced the halls of five prestigious universities across Nigeria, leaving an indelible mark on generations of students.

Prof. Chinedu Chris Chukueggu

Chinedu Chris Chukueggu is the first Professor of Art and Nigerian Art History from Imo State, Nigeria. Born on the 27th of July 1958 in Nguru in Aboh-Mbaise LGA, he is the son of renowned Nigerian first generation sculptor – Late Chief Sylvester Agu Opara Chukueggu. He has taught Art and Nigerian Art History in five Universities in the Country. He was the Head of the Department of Fine Arts and Design, University of Port Harcourt. Professor Chinedu Chris Chukueggu has successfully supervised several PhDs in Art in three Universities in Nigeria. He was the Chairman of the University of Port Harcourt Anti-Corruption and Transparency Monitoring Unit (ACTU/ICPC), the Chairman Senate Committee on Anti-plagiarism and the Director of the Confucius Teaching Point, University of Port Harcourt.
